So, today was a long day. One kid here, one kid there. Chris is out of town. The baby won't sleep. You know the story!
The kids and I were sitting down for dinner and having a very nice conversation. Of course, that was after I argued with Will over what he was going to eat and why he should do this. Then, Hanna and I had a small war over manners and eating with her fingers at the ripe old age of 10. But nevertheless we moved on.
The conversation went this way and that way until we landed on the Louisiana Purchase. Don't ask how, it just happened. I was very pleased they both knew what that was and elaborated by telling them Napoleon sold it to the United States. This is the best part of the story...
Will answered very nonchalantly but serious "I know, Napoleon Dynamite."
