My little Willy
Will is a very serious little boy. He comes across so macho and unfazed by life and then he surprises you. Lately he wants me to lay in bed with him until he falls asleep because he is scared. So as he falls asleep we talk. Last night he was telling me how boring school is. So, I said, "Maybe we should switch schools. What kind of school would you choose?"
Will said, "One that has recess all day and lets you watch TV too!" I could only chuckle. No need to respond. Oh to live in the world of 8-year-old boys!
In this spirit, I am going to share his letter about being President of the United States:
If I was President I wold make a new state named the Will & Peter state and they would have the Olympics there evry year. I wold make a new NFL team named the Oklahoma Lightening! I would name a car after me! And I would put me on a million dollar bill.
Sounds good to this mom!

Bits and pieces
Ok, I 'm trying to feel creative and inspired to write something really funny...but I keep getting interrupted by thoughts of vacuuming, crying babies, and snotty noses. Can you believe it? So, I am going to give you bits and pieces of our life over the past few days.
Let''s see we had 5 baseball games in two days and yes all six of our family members were there. Will still hasn't lost a game in any sport. We may have to buy a bigger house to fit his head into it!
After the game on Sunday, we went to eat with Will's team. Hanna decided she had had enough, and threw the BIGGEST fit I can imagine her throwing. It actually included screaming at the top of her lungs in the parking lot. She wasn't going in, we finally got her in. She wasn't eating or sitting at the table with the rest of the girls. She was going to sit by herself which of course was thoroughly emberassing to her parents. After threatening to confiscate her cell phone permanently we finally got her to the table. As we were still wiping the sweat off our brows and taking deep breaths, I sneak a peek of our darling first born. Is she stressed, pouting, or showing any signs of the 10-year-old medusa in the parking lot? Nope, she is eating french fries and laughing like nothing had ever transpired.
Zac has been sick the past couple of days. He had to get a shot of antibiotic and was actually limping. Poor guy. This morning he told me the coughing was making his brain hurt.
I am on a new mission. I sat down Sunday and made a list of all the things I like to get done in a day and then in a week. Guess what I discovered? If my fellow family members would only pick up their stuff, I wouldn't have a job! Apparently that is all I do. So, we are on Day two of everyone picking up after themselves. I will keep you posted.

Buttoning never felt so good!
So far, today has been a good day after a long and very eventful weekend. The big event you ask? It would be THE END of any additions to our crazy family (included a doctor visit and frozen peas to follow) (Oh yes, of course, there is a funny sidenote. Zac's favorite activity this weekend was taking the ice packs out of the freezer and laying them on the floor. No one noticed until Chris waddled to the freezer to retrieve one, and they were warm. I know I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it!). Yep, no more kiddos. This event led to a marathon of a weekend for me and yes a marathon TV watching weekend for Chris.
By noon on Saturday I had been to 3 basketball games and Will, Abby and I were at Target buying a birthday present for a party that afternoon. So it was drop off Will, come home, take clothes to Will, come home, go to dinner at Dad's, come home to...four eleven-year-old girls who would be spending the night. I think they were good, but not sure since I was comatose as soon as I hit the pillow.
Sunday was similar with baseball AND basketball plus I had a personal best. Ran 4 miles without stopping. Yeah!!!!!! All of this (the daily one to two hour gym workouts and eat clean diet probably helped too!) led to what has so far made today good (the dots are my drumroll)....
I can button my jeans again!
