See those two people? Those are my mom and dad. Also known as Billy and Sally. Also known as Mimi and Papa. I would take more current and better pictures, but they have ditched us for Florida (that's a whole other blog) until late March.
Of course I could tell you many, many funny and not so funny stories about these two (I bet they are hoping this whole blog thing goes away before I get to the really good ones!) Today, I am going to tell you about their competitive spirit.
Believe me, they've both got it. They may try and act like they aren't but it's just that, an act. Since they are in Florida I haven't seen much of this. However, I received a phone call last Saturday. Yep, they were in a heated battle. It was sooooo important they needed to call me to referee. They were fighting over.......rice. Whether we ate it before we moved to Singapore or after.
In true Swiss fashion, I did my best to remain neutral and please them both. "Yes we had rice, but not the real rice, like in Singapore. You know the Minute Rice." They both seemed a bit deflated with my answer but satisfied.
Let's just hope it gets warmer in Florida, so they can get out and stop arguing about rice!
