Seven games in Bixby

Wow, summer is fun! I have actually spent most of it in my car whizzing around Tulsa, but oh well. Did you have a nice, relaxing weekend. Possibly hang at the lake or the pool? Well, not me. I was in Bixby, Oklahoma at the AA State Tournament. Will had 7 games, yep SEVEN. We started out Friday. The whole family. We were hot  really hot. Here's Abby, see how hot she is...

Abby didn't come back on Saturday or Sunday. We decided if you are too hot to wear clothes it's probably better to stay home in the air conditioning.

Zac however found a way to keep cool...

This is right before we went back to watch the game. Next thing I know he is rolling in the dirt on the vacant field behind us!

Will's team the Vypers were Awesome! Sweet, tough little 8 year old boys. They played 2 games Friday, 3 games Saturday, and two on Sunday. 3rd place...

Will is the catcher. He got lots of little boys out at the plate with help from his teammates. Go Willie!

Between games 1 and 2 with his buddies. They were just getting going.

Now, this looks like a picturesque weekend, right? Little league baseball, a trophy, sounds good. Except for the beasts (actually coaches) of the team who beat us twice in the tournament. They were big, fat(I  typicaly don't describe anyone in this way, but they deserve it!!0 and loud. They were intimidating to our kids and theirs. Why, why must grown men take sports and twist and turn them into something they weren't meant to be? Why does this infuriate me to the point that I even yell things I probably shouldn't from the sidelines....

After a few deep breaths and a hug from Will we moved on. Hopefully we play em again next time and ....win, BIG.
